Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have an abiding belief that we all hold within ourselves the seeds of healing; that we may want to change, yet at times may need a little assistance in developing the tools to do so; that trauma stored in body and brain can “trigger” reactivity, anger, depression, anxiety, and unhealthy attachments – and that such challenges can be mitigated or corrected through psychotherapy; that we may not always be able to change the events of our lives, but that by consciously changing how we view such events we can change how they affect us.

In my 22 years as a therapist I have assisted, coached, and supported many individuals and couples in successfully navigating difficult changes and transitions, overcoming adversity, containing and mitigating obsessive thoughts and compulsive or impulsive behaviors, developing greater personal clarity and effectiveness, developing more harmonious ways of living with themselves and others, and finding greater peace of mind.

Featured Therapist

Barbara Witney, MA
Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
