Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I received my MA in Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies before I continued to gain hands on experience working with a diverse range of individuals, couples, families, and groups in various settings from a hospital in-patient facility to counseling centers in the Bay Area. As a musician and artist as well as a passionate academic I love how therapy integrates science with creativity and intuition. Even better, I get to use the diverse skill set I've accumulated throughout my life to help others. Growing up I learned the value of striving to make the world a better place. I also learned that this is really hard, especially when we don't examine ourselves more closely. I see personal growth and healing through therapy as a way to create a sustainable way of life for us all. In our sessions I will create a safe environment free of judgment and shame so you can actively engage in this process, even when you feel most vulnerable. My approach is holistic, promoting a sense of wholeness and integration of body, mind, and spirit. I am influenced by Relational, Gestalt, Transpersonal, and Psychodynamic therapies among others. My highest priority is to be present and flexible enough to cater the work to your individual needs.

During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone.
