Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I know it can be scary to reach out for help, especially in a culture that tells us we should be able to solve our problems on our own and, if we can’t, there is something wrong with us. Well, I’m here to challenge that culture that values independence more than interdependence, because as humans we are designed to be connected with others in relationships. And sometimes the first relationship that needs our focused attention is the one we have with ourselves in order to ‘show up’ in our relationships with others. The process of getting started can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming. Therefore, it is my hope and intention to reduce any anxiety that might come from trying to determine the best therapist and therapy for you by providing more information, including short videos, on my website: www.sanctuary4compassion.com. Please visit my website and Connect with me should you have any questions or would like to schedule a free, initial consultation to determine if I might be the best fit for you.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
