Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Welcome to my practice. The fact that you are here tells me that you have made a conscious and courageous decision to change your life for the better. We will work together and I will be here for you every step of the way. Psychotherapy is an empowering process that helps us gain insight, while becoming more conscious of our underlying thoughts and feelings that drive that drive our behaviors, thus setting the stage for positive change. I provide an empathic and supportive psychodynamic approach in a very safe and nurturing environment. Together, we will embark on a process that will be your internal journey towards emotional well-being and happiness. I will help you identify and clarify your current struggles, while reflecting on your past, in order to heal old wounds and move forward. I will also help you hear your own voice, so that you can understand what it is you are truly saying and wanting, be true to yourself and lead the life you authentically want to live. You will grow to know yourself better, trust yourself more and make choices that work for you instead of against you. Thus, you will be better equipped to navigate life's challenges, feel more comfortable in your own skin, have an improved sense of self and quality of life, and thrive.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
