Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
My name is Lindsey Wehn and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been in this field for over 7 years and thoroughly enjoy this work. I believe that everyone has the potential to live each and every day to the fullest. Cliché? Yes. The Truth? Yes. Life is not meant to be spent “waiting” for things to happen. They should be happening now! If you find yourself questioning whether or not you are making the most of each day, if you think that you are at a standstill, or if you know that something “just isn’t right”, it’s time to change things. I know that change can be very difficult, even when the end result is a good thing. We may need others in our lives to help move us along a different path. I want to help. (And asking for help is good!) I believe that life is all about choices. (You made the choice to visit my web page, didn’t you?) The great thing about this philosophy is that it gives you the power to make different choices and take control of what happens to you. Many people seek therapy when they feel that their lives are out of control and a result of external circumstances. I want to help you regain that control by helping identify what needs to change and how to do it. I also will help you learn how your own thoughts affect your feelings and actions. By taking control of these things, you will be on the path to a better, more fullfilling life.
