Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have recently moved my practice to the Conejo Valley from Orange County where I had a successful private practice for 18 years. Although I enjoyed working with my clients in Orange, I am glad to be back working in my hometown.

Since receiving my license as a Marriage, Family, and Child Therapist in 1988, it has been my privilege to work with people from many different backgrounds with a variety of issues.

I see children, adults, couples, and families. Much of my experience has been helping people overcome trauma, anxiety, and depression as well as working with those who have parenting or marital issues.

I have taught classes on effective parenting, communication techniques, and domestic violence and have led groups for survivors of sexual abuse.

It is my desire to provide a safe environment for people to share, heal, and change so they can make better life choices.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
