Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
As an experienced therapist, I am fascinated by what helps people change. Most people entering therapy want some kind of change—in the quality of their relationships, in their mood, in their behavior, in their life balance, or in their personal or professional satisfaction levels. My style is warm and nurturing but highly interactive and practical. I help my clients gain the self-awareness to understand their goals, identify the roadblocks hindering their progress, and make the changes necessary for a healthier, richer personal life and deeper, more intimate relationships. Couples of all kinds and pre-adolescents and adolescents are a particular love of mine. .I use a multidisciplinary approach so that I can tailor our collaborative work to the needs of each individual, couple or family. Included in the work are family systems, psychodynamic—especially Jungian, cognitive-behavioral and relationship therapies. Together we find “what works” so that the client feels heard, understood, and supported in making the desired changes.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
