Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I believe that everyone has the potential to live a healthy and fulfilling life. If you are struggling to achieve this goal, I can work with you, your child or family as a collaborative guide to help you get to a better place. I have a very practical approach through which I’ll meet you where you are and together we’ll look at what is standing in the way of you living the life you want. Then we’ll look at what steps can be taken to help you achieve your goals.

I have fifteen years experience in helping children, families, and individuals work through difficult times in their lives. I have training and experience in play therapy and have worked extensively with individuals, children and families with issues including separation/divorce, custody issues, adolescent/teen issues, abuse/neglect and parenting issues, among others. I welcome the opportunity to meet you, your child or family.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
