Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Therapy is a collaborative journey and the success of treatment is rooted in the relationship between the therapist and the client. I specialize in treating children (ages 3-12), trauma survivors, and women. Treatment is approached with the belief that therapy has a clear beginning, middle and end. Each case is approached individually, with a custom designed treatment program that will allow you to reach your goals in a set number of sessions (approximately 12-15 sessions on average). Treatment of children is approached from a family systems perspective, utilizing expressive art therapy interventions with a large caregiver participation component. A person-centered approach combined with expressive art therapy interventions is used when treating trauma survivors and adults.
