Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
It is my experience that most people looking for a therapist want to know my specialty, years of experience (20), and approach to therapy. I work mostly with adults from diverse backgrounds, and with a variety of presenting problems. Being a Latin who immigrated to the U.S. for graduate school, I can relate very well to people experiencing problems with adjustment, mixed marriages, cultural differences, and losses such as identity, family and friends.I love working with couples, and with people who are experiencing difficulties at work, or dilemmas in regards to their future, their contribution to the world, the best way to get out of crisis. I am an active participant in your therapy, and use cognitive therapy as well as a family systems thinking in terms of my approach

Featured Therapist

Barbara Witney, MA
Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
