Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I specialize in treating individuals and couples. I have found that people often unknowingly repeat patterns from past experiences. These behaviors can lead to a cycle of unhappiness and loneliness. I will help you recognize these patterns and understand some of the symptoms you may be experiencing. Together we will assess the best approach for problem solving and symptom relief. I will help you learn new techniques for dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, and loss, any of which can interfere with your present day functioning and impact your relationships. Together we will assess the best approach for you to achieve new goals and enjoy a healthier, more rewarding life.

I am in private practice as well as the Co-Director of Community Psychological Services, a non-profit training and counseling center in Encino, CA. Our staff of trained professionals offers sliding-scale fees. Our center has flexible hours, including evening and weekends.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
