Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
What is meaningful to me is working with women and their issues and focusing on the transitions we all face on our lives - daughter and sibling dynamics, reproductive issues, health, ageing, death and loss, job loss or change, care of family members, marriage and separation or estrangement. Planned or unexpected, these transitions provide an entry for exploration of our issues of attachment, control, sense of self and self worth, our place in our family, and our understanding of what is meaningful to us at this time in our lives. Change is always forthcoming and worth exploring because in those moments that we are neither here nor there, we are open to review our past impressions and life stories or scripts and ready to be imprinted by new ideas, fantasies and identity shifts.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
