Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have a private practice in the city of Long Beach where I focus on promoting growth and empowerment with both adult and child clients. I specializing in resolving trauma and loss/grief from the past and recent events to assist people to move forward. I frequently work with couples and family to consolidate everyone's effort to achieve this but working individually some familial issues are also common and workable. I bring to the table some practical approach as well as deep understanding of diversity within family work. I am bilingual Japanese, and issues surrounding cross-culture, identity issues, and life-transitions are close to my heart. Additionally, I have been active in writing and translating art therapy literature. My involvement in traditional mindfulness practices and creative arts has been both my source of inspirations and foundations to my work. I hope to continue to integrate my own experience of embracing joy and compassion into my therapy practice.
