Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
In my view everyone is moving towards resolution of their existential, developmental, or traumatic issues. Every healing is basically self-healing; every action is an attempt by the psyche to achieve harmony and peace. Therapy is an opportunity to intensify this quest. My job as a therapist is to first of all provide a safe space for your self-exploration. I am endlessly fascinated by the growth that happens when people feel safe and not judged. Using my experience and training I invite you to meet an “uncensored self” and to bring into awareness what enhances or inhibits the expression of your inner truth. I have over 10 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families in various settings in Poland, Canada, and for the last 5 years in California. I bring to my work respect, sensitivity, and understanding of cultural diversity. My primary areas of expertise and experience are issues of trauma (early or recent), domestic violence, sexual abuse, substance abuse, divorce and blended family issues.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
