Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Successful therapy doesn’t have to take forever. I offer both short and long-term therapy and I tailor my therapeutic approach to fit your individual needs. I have had great success with people who have previously found therapy to be unhelpful and I am often told by my clients that my approach is very refreshing and promotes change quickly.

I will do far more than “just listen” - I believe in developing tools and teaching skills that help to break destructive patterns and develop healthy ones. I offer a free phone consultation.

Patricia Ravitz, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
San Rafael, CA

My therapeutic style is non-judgmental, supportive, and interactive. My work is based on establishing a safe environment where trust can grow. I view symptoms as a way to call attention to unrecognized needs and unexpressed feelings. The goals of treatment include; learning to identify and express emotions, learning to set appropriate boundaries, developing skills such as self-soothing and impluse control and improving self-esteem.
