Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Are you overstressed, overworking, overeating, overspending, overanalyzing, overreacting or overly self-critical? Feeling out of balance and longing to cultivate a healthier relationship with family, friends, work, food, or more importantly with yourself? Let’s face it, at times we all need extra support to help us get through difficulties and enable us to grow. Other times we need guidance to build a more satisfying life. Together, we can begin a process that has the potential to deepen and enrich your life, your relationships with others, and, more importantly, with yourself. A positive relationship with one’s self is the foundation for a healthy life. I am passionate about helping clients discover their authentic selves and cultivating a life in line with their core values. I will support you in making changes that can help you reach your goals, attain emotional well-being, and improve your life. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS), Certified Daring Way Facilitator (CDWF), Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Certified Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher, and I work with individuals, families and groups in my private practice in San Carlos, California. At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
