Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Whether you want short-term treatment to relieve symptoms or longer therapy to promote growth, I provide a safe, caring experience. I help individuals manage life transitions and overcome painful feelings of sadness, hopelessness, fear and loneliness. In addition, I help couples repair and strengthen troubled relationships.

While treatment begins with understanding how past experiences influence your current feelings and actions, emphasis is on the here and now. I will help you challenge self-defeating beliefs and develop your unique strengths. For couples, learning effective communication skills and conflict resolution is necessary but not enough. While developing these skills, you will also learn how to honor and support the hopes and dreams that create strong, satisfying relationships.

I work collaboratively and tailor my approach to your specific needs. My goal is to give you tools to deal with the difficulties that come your way and enhance your sense of well-being.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
