Personal Statement:
I believe that the key to a successful psychotherapeutic experience starts with the relationship between the therapist and the client. I help my clients acquire new coping skills and assist them in finding their own solutions to life's challenges. I use an integrative approach drawing from various theoretical orientations, and customize a treatment plan that meets each client's individual needs. My areas of specialization include: Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Depression, Anxiety, Stress Management, Relationships/Marriage, Adjustment to change/life transitions, and any other issues that may have impact on my clients' interpersonal relationships. My professional experience includes: private practice in Encino California, counseling at a non-profit agency, guest lecturing at the high school/university level in the field of Human Sexuality, presenting numerous workshops at nationally recognized conferences in the field of Transgender Physical and Mental Health. I have also made several national television appearances.
