Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Welcome to my Psychotherapy practice. This is where growth and personal healing can really happen. Depression, anxiety, women’s issues, family issues, and abuse issues are all areas where I have special training and experience. The complex issues of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered community are also a specialty. I know it is not easy to make that first contact, but give me a call at 707.321.2640 and let’s take that first step.

I have been trained in long and short term models of therapy. Cognitive Behavioral, Humanistic, Jungian, and Family Systems are the methods mostly used in my practice.

For trauma sufferers, individual therapy, couples work, and blended family methods, offer a very well rounded approach. We can focus on solving specific problems, or explore the deeper psyche. It’s all connected.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
