Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
In almost two decades of private practice, I’ve had the privilege of working with adults and teens in individual, couple, and family therapy. I work collaboratively with all my clients to help them overcome anxiety, depression, painful behavioral and thought patterns, dysfunctional relationship patterns, life and lifestyle challenges, self-sabotaging behaviors, and self-deprecating thoughts. I’ve had the honor of working with parents suffering the heartbreak of a child’s death, couples wanting to be close again after drifting apart, teens burned out on the pressures of adolescent life, adults crippled by their anxiety or depression, parents wanting to improve their relationships with their kids, and kids wanting to have more meaningful and productive relationships with their parents.

My multi-disciplinary approach, mixed with a collaborative style, allows the most flexibility in working with my clients’ needs. By seeing the value of many different orientations, I tailor my approach to match the unique needs of each person I see and the particular issues for which they seek help. My goals always include an increase in resiliency, improved communications, a greater sense of fulfillment and self-esteem, and awareness and embodiment of “self at best”.

I am constantly inspired and amazed by my clients’ courageous work and am honored to help guide them towards resolution and fulfillment.

Please give me a call at 415.460.1134 and let’s see how we can work together to better navigate the challenges that prevent you from being your best, happiest, most fulfilled self.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
