Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I believe counseling is a means of self-examination that will allow each person to see themselves clearly. Often our views of ourselves are clouded by how we think others see us. I provide an opportunity for you to examine the paths you have taken, and to make new decisions about your life. I will support you in letting go of emotional pain, and in discovering meaning and purpose for yourself. In therapy with me you will learn to "come home to yourself," to live a genuine and authentic life, instead of a life built around the expectations of others.

About My Practice

Office Hours
I provide psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families. I specialize in depression and anxiety, couple's, and parenting. Depression and anxiety are rooted in regrets and fears. I will help you to make peace with the past, and to experience forgiveness for yourself and others. Learn to let go of that which you can not control. Take responsibility for the aspects of your life you do have power over. Is your marriage or partnership falling apart because you hope the other person will change? Are you waiting for your spouse to “get it together” in order for the relationship to work? I will invite you to examine your own roles, and to take responsibility for getting your needs met. I help couples identify the dynamics that prevent them from enjoying one another. You can create new ways of being together. Are you at your wits end with your children, your teenagers, or even your grown children? Come and identify ways to change your behavior and your perceptions. When you as a parent make changes, then your children will have the opportunity to respond in different ways.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
