Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I love working with all types of clients but I am especially passionate about working with adolescents. I work well with clients coming in with a wide variety of issues, including relationship issues, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, ADHD and substance abuse. I strongly believe that a positive therapeutic relationship is a key factor to one's healing process. My previous training in both hospital, substance abuse and community clinic mental health settings has given me significant experience working with many different types of clients. I have seen first-hand that mental health and substance abuse issues affect not only the individual, but the entire family as well. I have additional training in mindfulness and meditation practices. I believe in a holistic approach to health and therefore I love incorporating elements of meditation and art therapy into my work with clients who may be interested. If you would like to try something new, this may be for you!

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
