Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
As a Marriage and Family Therapist for 20 years, I feel honored to have participated in and witnessed the healing and growth of my clients. I believe it is in the process of being truly present that true healing takes place. Eckhart Tolle calls this The Power of Now.

My practice is varied, as I enjoy working with adults, adolescents and children. For children, I use puppets, sand play, art and many other tools to facilitate healing.

I challenge my clients to seek new, more positive ways of thinking about themselves and new ways of interacting with their loved ones. I have a gentle yet direct approach to therapy, incorporating my training and experience in family systems, humanistic and psychodynamic orientations.

Most recently, I am interested in working with clients around their creativity, spirituality and sexuality. It is my dream to expand my work in this area and provide more services of this kind to adults in our community.
