Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have been providing relationship therapy for nineteen years as a licensed therapist, and have more than twenty years of experience in the mental health field. My goals are to empower individuals to better their relationships, learn tools to communicate better in order to be more successful in their jobs, relate in a healthier manner with their significant others, and reach their life goals. Tools taught in counseling will be beneficial in the future when therapy has ended and new challenges present themselves.

My approach to therapy is educational and provides specific techniques that we practice that assist individuals, couples and families to successfully problem-solve and manage ordinary conflicts that occur in their lives. My model is brief and goal-oriented in order to maximize the effectiveness of therapy in an economical manner that returns the individual back to their maximum functioning as soon as possible.

I specialize in working with victims and offenders of domestic violence, individuals coping with stress or trauma, as well as individuals overcoming addictions. I have specialized training in hypnosis from Orange Coast College, training in anger managment from Anderson and Anderson, as well as training in domestic violence treatment from CSU, Fullerton. I offer individual, family, and couples counseling, as well as classes and groups for various challenges in everyday living.
