Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I work to assist clients in developing an ongoing understanding of their problems, and I help facilitate the release and integration of any repressed painful or traumatic past experiences. I also work to resolve problems by going into issues in current time and help to figure out both emotionally and intellectually whatever is needed to resolve the issues. I am comfortable using the relationship that develops with a client and myself to explore whatever issues come up in that arena (i.e. exploring and clarifying old self defeating patterns which are often pertinent to present relationship difficulties.) I work with whatever is most important for a client to talk about and go from there. I am very supportive, positive, and I work to empower clients. I use empathic listening, reflection and explaining, assisting clients in clearing out whatever is in their way of achieving their goals, resolving problems, and feeling better.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
