Personal Statement:
Mark S. Miller, M.A. MFT, Is the founder and executive director of Emerge from Anger. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1988, Mr. Miller has two decades of experience working with individuals, couples and groups in the area of anxiety, depression and anger. He is the co-author of three books on anger management, including, "Got Anger? Practical Anger Mangagement Techniques for Daily Living." He facilitates groups for anger management and domestic violence. He is a regular presenter at the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependance and also conducts out-of-state DUI evaluations. In 1994, Mr. Miller was trained in Jon Kabat-Zinn's Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Model and Specializes in core mindfulness techniques. He has presented numerous trainings for licensed therapists, domestic violence facilitators, and alcohol and drug counselors in the areas of legal and ethical issues, substance abuse, and treatment issues, especially for anger issues and/or domestic violence.
