Marla Holt, M.A., LMFT is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in couples work, substance abuse counseling, parenting and women's issues. Marla brings a special sensitivity to her work. With more than 25 years of continuous sobriety, Marla has extensive personal and professional experience helping people in recovery.
In addition to working with substance abuse and addictions, Marla’s expertise extends to domestic violence situations and is effective in facilitating family systems work. With more than a decade of hands-on work in community-based mental health agencies, Marla has helped hundreds of people in her work with both Hathaway-Sycamore Child and Family Services and Masada Homes.
Marla’s philosophy embraces an understanding that all therapeutic work must be adapted to the realities facing today’s multi-stressed urban family. With a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and a Master of Arts in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy from Pacific Oaks College, Marla also holds certifications in, grief recovery, Domestic Violence, and Substance Abuse and Addiction.
