Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I work with individuals on a variety of issues including relationship concerns, depression, bereavement/loss, anxiety, trauma, chronic illness, end of life issues, caregiver stresses, and life transitions. I am especially interested in working with couples in all stages of relationship, and families in all stages including parenting, blending families, launching children, and divorce and co-parenting concerns. My work also include children and adolescents with difficulty coping with the divorce of parents, emotion regulation and expression, conflict resolution, self-esteem and behavioral problems, weight issues, social skills, and other daily life conflicts unique to their age. I take a collaborative approach to treating children and adolescents, working together with a child’s parents and their educational system to achieve the most positive outcome. The use of spiritual disciplines is an important component of my practice for those clients that desire to incorporate them into their therapy process.
