Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Personal Statement: If you are seeking improved communication, lowered or managed stress, emotional and relational health or stronger parenting skills, I would like to work with you toward your goals. In a safe, supportive context, we can explore your concerns and build on your strengths to help you sleep in peace and find greater joy in each day. My clinical experience includes providing therapy for over 8 years with child, teen and adult clients, initially as a pastoral counselor and then becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I enjoy working with parents and children, particularly through in vivo coaching with PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy-ages 2-6) and Watch, Wait and Wonder (ages 9 months-2 years) to increase attachment and cooperation. Supporting recovery from life’s traumas, both large (PTSD) and small ordinary griefs, is a source of joy in my work that has been enhanced through training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). An additional area of my specialty is the integration of spirituality with the realities of life if you want to process questions in that area. I have offices in Fremont and Mountain View. In Fremont: 3100 Mowry Ave. (at the intersection with Paseo Padre Parkway) in Fremont (near Washington Hospital). In Mountain View: 748 Mercy Street, at the corner of Hope and Mercy. For an initial free phone consultation, please call to discuss my therapeutic approaches, how we might work together to reach your goals and to clarify whether I am the right therapist for you. Call or text me at 408-420-7895 between 7am and 9pm. I'll return your call that day. In an emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
