Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I provide caring, professional therapy to clients suffering from a variety of problems such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and conflicted relationships. As a Christian therapist, I find that therapy apart from faith is of limited help. Saint John of the Cross rightly stated, "In tribulation immediately draw near to God with confidence, and you will receive strength, enlightenment, and instruction." It is my belief that God is the true healer and I am only His instrument. If you wish, I will incorporate your faith and beliefs with my psychological expertise to help you achieve your goals. Having grown up in Mexico, I am completely bilingual (Spanish/English) and bicultural, with a deep understanding of Hispanic life and culture. I am committed to helping my clients reach their fullest potential while living healthy, joyous lives and experiencing satisfying relationships with others. I enjoy working proactively with young adults and engaged couples, teaching them about assertiveness, as well as communication skills. My work also includes helping clients overcome the effects of trauma from sexual, emotional, and/or physical abuse, as well as domestic violence, divorce, addictions, and/or past abortions. With a focused, gentle approach, I help clients manage their thoughts and emotions as they move toward a healthier sense of who they are. I believe that lasting change and true healing encompass all aspects of a person – body, mind and spirit. I look forward to working with you. My office is conveniently located off of Highway 78 in San Marcos, CA, and is easily accessible by public transportation.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
