Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have many years of experience working with young adults, children and adolescents, including working through issues of trauma and abuse, and helping parents support their children’s healthy development. I am dedicated to working in partnership to enhance my client’s potential and I am sensitive to cultural perspectives. My optimism and belief in personal empowerment provide a safe environment for exploring issues of anxiety, depression and life transitions. I have worked with families involved in domestic violence, LBGTQ adjustments, and the foster care system. I also have a background in supervision and management, and I am familiar with issues in the workplace and military family life stressors.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
