Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
As a therapist, my primary goal is to provide clients with a safe and supportive environment where they can explore past and present experiences. As clients gain insight and a better understanding of their experiences, they are better equipped to explore their role within their relationships and gain the ability to “reinvent” themselves, to fulfill their potential and begin to be more fully present in their life’s journey. I feel honored to accompany my clients in this journey of discovery, hope and healing. I have experience working with individuals of all ages and a passion for infant and maternal mental health. I work from an attachment perspective and see this time as the optimal opportunity to help develop healthy connections that will last a lifetime and grow a strong path for future relationships. I also have extensive experience working with preschool-age children with behavioral problems, particularly addressing trauma-related issues. I work closely with parents to address parenting challenges, support healthy relationships within the family and build a stable home environment.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
