I completed my Masters degree in 1993 from Seattle Pacific University with an emphasis on Child and Family Therapy. I have been working in the mental health field for 20 years, providing prevention and intervention services.
My philosophy of counseling is based on a ‘wellness model.’ This means that I am committed to the belief that you, the client, have an innate drive towards health and growth, and the inner wisdom to make constructive changes in your life. Based upon assisting you with the concerns(s) you have identified, I will help you examine the ‘basics’ of your life, such as relationships, work life and overall well being. We will discover your unique style of coping, communication, and personal goals, identify road blocks and create a plan toward reaching your desired outcome.
