Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Over 17 years as a therapist have convinced me that you can transform your life by committing time and effort to psychotherapy. In fact, research supports this. My experience synthesizing a Jungian perspective with the very practical psychotherapy technique Control Mastery (see SFPRG.org) makes me a perfect match for you if you wish to utilize therapy to address the problems listed on this page. In fact, I am committed to supporting you on the journey toward deep and lasting change. My approach is dynamic and collaborative. I am bi-cultural, have lived overseas in Asia and Europe, and in five major metropolitan areas in the U.S. Born and raised in San Francisco, I have strong ties to urban environments, their culture, sophistication, tolerance, and diversity.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
