Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Deciding to seek therapy takes courage and it's important to find the right therapist to feel comfortable. I provide a safe place to talk things out and get the support you need to move past the pain. Stress and low self-esteem can create problems like depression, anxiety and difficulties in relationships. Healthy relationships develop when you can look at yourself and stop blaming others. Often, I recommend support groups because peer support helps reinforce what's learned in therapy and decreases isolation. Together we will work together to set goals and practice skills that can improve your relationships and self-esteem.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
