Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Most of us have times in our lives when we feel confused and alone. Finding an experienced therapist who will work with you in a supportive and caring way is often the first step in finding your way to a more satisfying life. In a safe, comfortable environment you can explore what is and is not working in your life. I will be with you helping you to better understand yourself and others. I will help you let go of old habits that no longer suit you and find new ways of being which build upon your unique strengths and talents. I have worked with all stages of the life cycle and understand the struggles common to each. I believe having someone else understand and appreciate who we truly are is crucial to healing. People have found me to be insightful and straightforward in an empathic and non-judgmental way.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
