Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
As a therapist it is my personal goal to assist my clients in discovering positive ways to express themselves and to cope with whatever challenges they face in life. My hope is to provide a supportive, non judgmental environment where my clients can learn about themselves and the ways in which their thoughts and behaviors are working both for and against them. I use a variety of tools to educate and challenge my clients. In addition to cognitive behavioral therapy, I show short educational films, include workbook activities, role play, and other creative techniques to encourage self discovery. Of course, each clients preferences and personal comfort zones are taken into account. I love providing therapy to my clients and hope that my passion for helping others is evident to each of my clients.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
