Personal Statement:
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor specializing in individual, couples and family psychotherapy. I am a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients and have twenty years of clinical experience. Among my areas of expertise are depression and anxiety disorders, grief counseling, issues related to chronic illness and teaching effective parenting strategies. I also have training and experience working with veterans and their families. I am a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist. My treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current and long-standing problems. I incorporate a blend of conventional approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, I work with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.
