Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Early intervention is crucial to prevent symptoms from worsening. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Don't wait until your pain has become unbearable until you reach our for help. We must all fight this tendency in ourselves and instead insist on our happiness and a life that truly fulfills us. If you feel frequently depressed, anxious or that you want to withdraw from the world, don’t wait for these feelings to get worse. Likewise, if you are a parent who has noticed signs of social isolation, depression, anxiety or drug use in your children, trust your instincts and get help for your child. In my experience, even very unbalanced adolescents can quickly stabilize and improve with a solid treatment approach. So many relationships and marriages are worth saving and could be, if couples sought out help sooner from a marriage counselor. Don’t let a precious bond break because you were afraid to reach out for help.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
