Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I have been in private practice for 15 yesars. In those years I've come to specialize in couples therapy. Over this period I have found that despite the explosion in high tech communication, couples are finding it more difficult than ever to communicate with each other. In therapy I help couples open up to each other in a way they never thought possible. From this position of openness, members of a couple are able to deal with longstanding conflicts and solve problems. To do this I create a non-threatening environment in which both partners are supported. I find that couples respond to this approach in a manner that facilitates positive change.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
