Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I specialize in working with people of all ages to heal from emotional pain, develop positive goals, find meaning in their lives and to connect with their inner guidance. As people connect with their deep source of wisdom, they are able to move toward their goals, to create more loving and intimacy, and to grow and develop in healthy and self-nurturing ways.

I use a variety of humanistic, psychodynamic and behavioral therapeutic techniques, and I specialize in using Sandplay therapy with adults as well as children, couples and families. I also have a fully equipped therapeutic playroom for children to work through their difficulties using art, puppets, and toys.

I have experience in working with a variety of issues, including relationship issues, trauma (incest, abuse, rape crime, accidents), marriage, divorce, career/work problems, weight and eating issues, spiritual issues, transgender and identity, panic, obsessiveness, phobias, anxiety and depression.

Are you stressed out? Do you sometimes find yourself snapping at your children? Would you describe your relationship with your husband as “distant”? Or do you feel like you are going to lose it if someone doesn’t give you a break? Being a mother, wife, or daughter can stretch us to our limits. During times like these it can feel like the world has been turned “upside down”. There is HOPE! You don’t have to figure this out alone. Let’s talk and see if I can help you make things “right side up” again.
