Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
A seasoned therapist recognizes the various layers of psychological suffering and offers a wide range of treatments that are appealing to the client. No one method is appropriate for all individuals. From short-term behavioral approaches that highlight a single solution to more extensive long-term psychodynamic and analytical experiences that focus on personality reorganization and development, the therapy itself is approached in a way that is comfortable for you. I seek to unite both the critical eye of sound scientific research with an examination of the possible contributions of social, familial, cultural, medical and financial factors – a proven approach that avoids the hazards of therapeutic “fads” and commercialized slogans.

A reduced fee may be considered for restricted income or for multiple sessions per week. If you wish to use your insurance carrier I will provide a statement with a diagnosis for reimbursement. Please check with your plan administrator if you belong to an insurance plan which allows free choice providers.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
