Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Choosing to start therapy is a sign of strength, not weakness. I create a safe space to support you in this courageous journey as we work together to transform the challenges that are keeping you from the fulfilling life you know you deserve. In this role I am a coach, advocate, supporter, catalyst, trusting listener and compassionate advisor. Whether it is depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues, life transitions and life purpose questions, addictions or career challenges-- all you need to get started is a desire to change.

About My Practice

Office Hours
Services
My style is warm, interactive and goal-oriented, using strength-based psychotherapy with humanistic, narrative and mindfulness influences. My goal is to help you build healthier ways of relating to yourself, others and the world so you can address your challenges with confidence and be more fully yourself. Sometimes this means exploring how past experiences are showing up in the present moment and keeping you stuck in familiar patterns.
We have many inner selves that show up moment by moment, often in conflict with each other, and I will work to help you understand who is in the ‘driver’s seat’. With this new awareness, it becomes easier to identify your real needs and avoid being sabotaged by patterns that don’t serve you.
I specialize in working with teens, young adults and men, but am open to all populations. I invite clients who are interested in short-term therapy that focuses on a single issue as well as longer term, depth work.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Santa Rosa, CA

I am in private practice, delivering telemedicine via Skype and FaceTime or by phone. My area of special emphasis is helping people improve their important relationships, and working with my clients to decrease and stop depression. If you are reading this, chances are one or more of your important relationshps are not working very well. Whether it's difficulty with a partner or spouse, teens or parents, friends or co-workers, a troubled relationship is painful.
