Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am a psychotherapist in San Francisco, and I have been working with both individuals and couples since 1993.

My style of working is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. I offer people supportive feedback and guidance, and I use appropriate therapeutic methods to engage and facilitate a process of deeper change.

Some of the difficulties I work with include:
Relationship Issues
Depression and Low Self-worth
Anxiety, Excessive Worry
Grief and Bereavement
Effects of Recent or Childhood Trauma/Abuse

I also see people who need just to discuss a situation or who are simply feeling overwhelmed, without support, or somehow empty in their lives.

Therapy is an opportunity to use the problem we’re experiencing as an impetus to grow, heal and make positive change. Through it we can develop a more caring and secure relationship with ourselves, more satisfying relationships with others, and more creative, effective, and fulfilling life.

Featured Therapist

Barbara Witney, MA
Donna Yorke, M.A.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Temecula, CA

I’ve been in private practice in Temecula since 1990. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues, using a straight-forward approach to problem solving. While I listen with empathy, I am an “active” therapist, meaning I make suggestions, give direction and homework to partner with my clients so they can solve their problems in a timely, effective manner.
