My goal is to help you integrate your experiences so that you are able to move forward with strength, resiliency and openness. I draw upon a variety of psychological orientations in order to best meet your needs.
I am trained in Somatic Experiencing as taught by Peter Levine and utilize a body based approach in therapy that allows for greater resolution of experiences and traumas.
Also, I have studied Buddhist meditation for over 15 years – which influences my approach in allowing you the space for a contemplative experience. My background in Fine Art helps me to understand artists and writers and the challenges that arise as a creative person.
Additionally I am a certified Kundalini Yoga and Meditation teacher.I believe a holistic and integrative approach that brings together mind, body and spirit is the most effective way to personal healing.
I received my MA from Antioch University, and previously an MFA from Otis College of Art and Design and a BA from Art Center College of Design.
