Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Everyone experiences pain at some point in life. It is inevitable. Most of us reach out for help with physical pain, but tend to suffer in silence with emotional pain. Seeking counseling is not a sign of weakness and does not mean you are "crazy." It is actually one of the bravest and most courageous decisions you can make. Whatever the cause of your emotional pain, know there is HOPE. I would like the opportunity to walk with you on your journey toward healing and wholeness. I specialize in stillbirth grief counseling, as well as general individual, couples, and family counseling in the following areas: Miscarriage/infant loss, PTSD, Anxiety/Depression, General Grief, Parenting, Marital Discord, Adoption, Trauma, Stress due to Life Transitions, Substance Abuse Recovery, Domestic Violence, Pre-Marital Counseling, Shame/Guilt after an abortion.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
