Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I hold a master's degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Grief Therapy, and have over 20 years of experience providing healing and supportive psychotherapy for adults, teens, children and families. I work with children and their families who have experienced divorce. I help families understand ADD and ADHD. I provide EMDR to unstick trauma and anxiety. I do CBT to treat depression. I provide trainings on Children's and Adult Grief for counseling centers, schools, universities and churches, and I ran the Children's and Teen's Grief Support Groups for a Hospice for 7 years. I also taught 'Overcoming Depression' classes for Kaiser. I see my role as supporting, empowering and educating individuals and families so that they can activate the skills they need to have more clarity and get unstuck and reenergize their life, perhaps even transform it.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
