Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
I am practicing privately in downtown Berkeley in a central location with access to shops and transportation, my office is wheel chair accessible. As a trauma specialist I have extensive experience working with the child-parent dyad to resolve anxiety and reduce dysfunctional attachment systems. I have experience working with adults and adolescents with co-occurring disorders of mental health and substance abuse. I have training in many modalities including expressive arts, family systems and play therapy. I predominantly focus on the primary relationship to identify and resolve dysfunctional behavior and patterns of relating that inhibit intimacy and growth. I work primarily to expand on client strengths and scaffold existing resources, enhancing reciprocity to reduce impact of developmental trauma and regression that can lead to anxiety disorders.
