Personal Statement

Personal Statement:
Do you feel alone and not listened to? Find yourself withdrawing from your partner? Or angry about discussions that too often turn into arguments? I help couples rekindle the love and passion they once felt in their relationship. I believe that every person can both increase intimacy and develop personal strength in the context of a loving relationship. I have over 30 years experience successfully treating couples. I work colaboratively with you to set goals and develop solutions that take into account your unique needs.”

My style is welcoming and compassionate. I have a flexible, eclectic approach that can provide both short-term, solution oriented treatment as well as more long-term, in-depth therapy using a variety of methods, depending on what you may need. I have also been married for 22 years and have raised a daughter who is now in college, so I am both professionally trained and personally experienced in couples and parenting issues that arise throughout life.

At the core of many personal issues lie old messages of your sense of worth. Those messages conveyed to you while growing-up that minimized your self-esteem. The journey inward toward your past can often be frightening and disheartening. By slowly revisiting the wounded part of yourself, old repetitive behaviors can cease to exist. A new sense of kindness toward yourself will begin to emerge. Allow me to travel with you to discover what is buried deep inside of your soul, exploring what keeps you from becoming all that you want to be.
