Personal Statement:
Pamela Georgette is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Registered Art Therapist with 9 years of clinical experience. Her practice focuses on the treatment of young women, chemical dependency and eating disorders. Pamela has worked with teens and young people for more than 12 years first as an art teacher and now as an art therapist. As a bilingual and bicultural clinician, she has worked with children from homes with Spanish speaking caregivers. Pamela works in private practice with issues such as anxiety, substance dependency, co-dependency, trauma and loss. She has more than 2 years’ experience facilitating art therapy groups in both inpatient and outpatient settings utilizing DBT and CBT with trauma, emotional regulation and eating disorders. Pamela brings a background in visual art and 12-step recovery to her work. Pamela is also core faculty at Phillips Graduate Institute in the Art Therapy and Marriage and Family Therapy programs.
